Hey Titans, don’t miss out on Senior Night for boys basketball TONIGHT at 6:30. Make sure you are wearing red!

Let your special someone know that you are thinking of them for Valentine’s Day! Singing Valentines are on sale during both lunches on the inside stage. $5 for song/flower/card; $10 includes a teddy bear. Songs options include Bruno Mars, Plain White T’s, Elvis Presley and more! Valentine’s will be delivered on Friday 2/12. Questions? Come to CTE6.

All Students that are interested in Playing Football in the 2016-2017 Season that are not in one of our 4 daily lifting classes and not playing a sport at ANHS will need to report to the weight room for OSP.  TODAY at 3:00-4:00 & every M-TH that school is in session for the rest of the year. Roll will be taken. Anyone that is either not lifting in one of our classes or playing a sport will not be allowed to play football if they do not get there OSP hours in. If you have any Questions please come and see Coach Ray. Thank you!

Congrats to the Speech and Debate team for their performances at the qualifying tournament for one of the two national leagues in which Antelope HS competes. Jack Yanos qualified to attend the Grand National Tournament for both Original Oratory and Extemporaneous speaking! Other Titans who performed quite well include Alana Cox, Tyler Anderson, Kim Weaver, and Karam Singh.
Next Saturday’s tournament is at GBHS. Swing by L201 to look at the current sign-ups or just join us at the meeting tomorrow after school.

Are you in need of some community service hours and a fluent speaker in another language? Come out to this tomorrow’s meeting in Mrs. Cook’s room (counselor) to find out more about the upcoming school events where fluent speakers will be needed. Contact Ludmila Nicov or Mrs. Cook for any more information.

Congratulations to Sara Bergeron, Alissa Fowler, Jane Miller, Nancy Nguyen, and Belma Ikanovic who were selected to interview for Girls State by our staff for their outstanding character and ability to succeed! Sara Bergeron was selected to represent Antelope this summer at the Girls State Conference. We know she will represent us well! Congratulate her if you see her around!

Highlights:

TONIGHT from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Seniors & Early Grads are invited to attend the Cash for College Workshop starting in the Cafeteria to assist you and your parents in completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or the California Dream Act Application. Trained volunteers, as well as financial aid professionals, will be there to guide students through the process. If you’ve already begun or even submitted your application, you can still attend and have a professional look it over to make sure everything is just right.

GIRLS SOCCER Conditioning will be after school Today-Thursday on the football field.

Softball is conditioning after school. We meet in weight room on Tues and Thurs and at the track on Wednesday.

Highlights:

If you are playing softball in the spring please attend the meeting in S204 today at 3pm. Softball is conditioning Tuesday thru Thursday after school. We meet in weight room on Tues and Thurs and at the track on Wednesday.

If you are interested in singing the National Anthem at Basketball games or Rallys this semester, auditions will be held Thursday 1/7 in the choir room (CTE6) at 2:45. Please see Mrs. Fulkerson if you can’t make this time.

Antelope Learning Lab (ALL) is looking for new and returning tutors. If you are interested in tutoring other TITANS in English, Math, Science, Social Science or World Language please see Ms. Raatz or Ms. Gorkhali in the library for an application. This is a great way to get community service hours while helping peers achieve success! Applications are due to Ms. Raatz by this Friday, January 8, 2016.

If you were absent on the day your class came down to the library to return your textbooks, please turn them in to Ms. Reed in the library. All textbooks must be returned directly to Ms. Reed in the library by Friday, December 18 at 12:30pm. Textbooks that are not returned on time will be billed for the full replacement cost of the book.
Please DO NOT return any textbooks or English novels to your teacher. Turn them in directly to Ms. Reed to be scanned.

Highlights:

Come learn about a new emerging spring sport cheer is participating in for its 3rd year called STUNT.  Open gyms to try it on Wed Dec 9th and Thurs Dec 10th. 

Do you believe in magic? Do you believe in hope? Do you believe in the season? Come and hear Antelope Choirs perform holiday favorites and explore the magic of the season! The show is Thursday 12/10 & Friday 12/11 at Roseville High School. Doors open at 6:30pm, show begins at 7:00pm. Tickets are FREE for students with an ASB card, $5 in advance and $8 at the door. Come to CTE6 or Student Services for tickets.

Merry Christmas! Remember the Anime Club Christmas party will be Thursday, December 10th. Remember to bring a contribution to the potluck even if you didn’t sign up. This will be our last club for the first semester, so I hope to see you all there!”

Thanks to your help we were able to collect over 2,000 cans for our annual KCRA 3 Canned Food Drive. Mrs. Mitchell’s first period class won the class competition by collection 459 cans. In second was Mrs. Rodriguez’s science class who raised 425 cans. And in third was Mr. Hudson’s class with a total of 373 cans collected. Thank you to all who participated in this event and for helping out our local community!

The National Honors Society Talent Show Hollywood: A Night with the Stars is onWednesday, November 18th from 6:30-8:30 PM in the Cafeteria. It is in support of Foster Care to Success and features many talented acts including Madisen Carter, Cameron Yuki, Red Lotus Dance Crew, Guppy V & J and many more!!!

The University of Nevada, Reno will be onsite tomorrow, November 19th from 9 AM – 1 PM to do onsite admissions! SENIORS–APB will be on campus THURSDAY to collect for Sober Grad Night’s trip to DISNEYLAND.  The cost is now $225 with a $112.50 deposit necessary to hold that price.  Come to the stage during both lunches.  Senior sweatshirts will also be handed out at that time!!

Attention Students – Pink shirts will be for sell beginning today for $10 – limited quantity available so get yours quick. We are doing something different this year and joining forces with Bella Vista High School in a joint effort to have everyone in the stadium wear pink and raise funds through donations at that game. This will be a fun contest of who has the most pink in their stands and well as funds raise! Let’s make sure our side is a sea of pink! Shirts will be for sale beginning after school on Tuesday, 10/20 while supplies last.
