Congratulations to Tyler Anderson and Jared Parris for their First and Second Place finishes in the Rotary Club’s Speech contest on Monday! They each performed quite well and were rewarded handsomely for their efforts.
If you want to have a possibility to earn some cash, join us at next month’s Optimist’s Club competition. All you have to do is speak for four to five minutes on “How Your Best Brings Out the Best in Others.” See Mr. Parris or Mrs. Gallardo for more information.

Congrats to Jordan Harris and Carson Smith for their participation in the Lion’s Club Speech Contest held yesterday evening at the Antelope Public Library. They each earned $25 for their efforts while Josh Juarros, with a victory at the initial “Club” level, earned $100 for the writing and delivery of his speech.
Do you want to potentially make some money by giving a speech? The Optimist’s Club competition is still accepting more Titans! Highlights:

Attention all Titans, there will be a red zone TONIGHT for boys basketball vs Cosumnes Oaks at 7:00. Pre party with snacks is at 6:20. Hope to see you all there dressed in red!!!

The first day of swim practice is TODAY right after school. Make sure you have your physical prior to practice.

If you took the PSAT in October, your results are in! Stop by the College & Career Center during lunch or after school to pick up your scores!

In the last tournament before the Qualifying Tournaments and the “postseason” begins, the AHS Speech team had a terrific day at Granite Bay HS. Three of the six finalists in National Extemporaneous Speaking were Titans. A special congrats goes out to Jack Yanos who took first place in both his National Extemp. and Original Oratory events.
Next up will be the qualifying tournaments for two different state or national tournaments. Wish your fellow Titans luck!

 

Do you love water and enjoy flipping around? Diving season begins soon. Our first practice will be Monday February 8th @ 6pm at the Oakmont Pool. Please make sure you have all the necessary paperwork turned in and are cleared for sports.
