Next Saturday’s Speech & Debate tournament is at GBHS. Swing by L201 to look at the current sign-ups or just join us at the meeting today after school.

Are you in need of some community service hours and a fluent speaker in another language? Come out to today’s meeting in Mrs. Cook’s room (counselor) to find out more about the upcoming school events where fluent speakers will be needed. Contact Ludmila Nicov or Mrs. Cook for any more information.

Winter Ball is coming up on Saturday, January 30th from 8:30-10:00pm. Tickets can be purchased at student services with Mrs. Carroll or any day at the student store in the cafeteria during both lunches.
Ticket Prices:
Jan. 25-29: $16 w/ ASB $18 w/o ASB
Jan. 30 (at the door): $20

Congrats to the Speech and Debate team for their performances at the qualifying tournament for one of the two national leagues in which Antelope HS competes. Jack Yanos qualified to attend the Grand National Tournament for both Original Oratory and Extemporaneous speaking! Other Titans who performed quite well include Alana Cox, Tyler Anderson, Kim Weaver, and Karam Singh.

Sara Bergeron was selected to represent Antelope this summer at the Girls State Conference. We know she will represent us well! Congratulate her if you see her around!

Highlights:

Attention Seniors of 2016! Make sure you take your senior portraits at Prestige Portraits studio in either Elk Grove or Citrus Heights by TODAY. Failure to do so may result in your senior portrait not appearing in the yearbook. So don’t hesitate and visit their website at http://www.prestigeportraits.com to book an appointment! Do it today. Do it now. Right now.

Homecoming week is this week, the theme is “A Tim Burton Homecoming.”
Make sure to dress up for for spirit days:
Tomorrow is class colors: freshmen wear white, sophomores wear gray, juniors wear black, and seniors wear red.
Make sure to bring your ID and get counted in the quad during lunch. Also keep an eye out for student gov members walking around in orange vests counting spirit.

Lunchtime Activities will be held during both lunches every day this week on the stage in the cafeteria, in the grass, or in the amphitheater. Come out and participate to earn points towards the rally for your class!

Attention Titans! Tickets to the Mad Hatter Tea Party Homecoming Dance will be going on sale soon and will be sold at Student Services and in the Student Store during both lunches.  Homecoming is Friday, October 2nd from 9-11 pm in the cafeteria.  Ticket sales are as follows:
9/28-10/1 $8 with ASB and $10 without
Tickets will not be sold during school, Friday, October 2nd
$10 at the door Friday October 2
Ticket and School ID must be present at dance check-in

The ASVAB will be offered on Monday, October 5th after school! If you are considering joining the Military or are interested in taking a Career Aptitude Test, sign up for the ASVAB. Tomorrow is the last day to sign up! If you are unable to take this due to sports practice or another conflict, you can sign up for the October 21st ASVAB, which will be offered during 1st and 2nd period.

Highlights:

Attention Titans! Tonight is the annual Night Rally in the amphitheater. Come out to see many special performances including cheer and class backdrop skits and meet this year’s royalty nominees. Food will be sold so bring money! Attendance is free and friends and family are welcomed. Make sure to wear your PJ’s to get counted for spirit to get points towards the rally for your class!
